Characteristics

Size: The common size of a mouse is around 1 1/2 to 2 inches in length.

Color: The color varies from the common gray to a darker gray in color.

Behavior: Mice are numerous throughout the world. The common house mouse breeds every 10 to 17 weeks throughout the year, producing five to ten young in a litter.

Habitat: Their habitat consists mainly fields yet occasionally they will invade the home. After there food resources run out in the outside environment the mouse will tend to search out food and water in your home. Mice can fit through a hole the size of a pinky on your hand about a 1/4 inch. Nesting in wood piles, yard debris, or a cluttered garage and subarea.

Tips for Control: An exclusion process is the best possible control against mice. Sealing up any cracks or holes around the house is key. Removing any harborages such as wood piles or clutter in and around the house. Also eliminating their food and water source. If unattended mice can overrun a home carrying a multitude of diseases.
