Characteristics

Size: Approximately 1 to 1 1/2 inches in length.

Color: There is a multitude of crickets. Most common color is brown to black. Some crickets like the California Camel Cricket is a lighter color like tan to light brown.

Behavior: Most crickets have the same characteristics. Tending to feed on other pests and vegetation. Each species has a distinctive chirp. All crickets are jumpers. They will invade the home, garage, or any area that provides a safe environment. Burrowing is a very common behavior of this pest.
